Procedure Text

Procedure text  is a text that is designed to describe how something is achieved through a sequence of actions or steps.
It explains how people perform different processes in a sequence of steps.
The temporal conjunctions are :
 first, second, then, next, finally, etc.
The generic structures :

ž    Goal/aim ( or title)

ž    Materials (not required for all procedural texts)

ž    Steps (the actions that must be taken)

How to make vegetable broth

Materials:

1. A variety of vegetables (onions, carrots, celery,

tomatoes, broccoli, mushrooms, etc.)

2.Your choice of seasonings (salt, pepper, garlic, bay leaves, etc.)

Water

Steps:

1. Place vegetables and seasonings in a large pot, and cover

with water.

2. Bring to a boil.

3. Reduce heat and simmer for at least an hour.

4. Then, strain out the vegetables, and your broth is ready

for use.
